WordPress 2.7 Upgrade

Wordpress 2.7 ‘Coltrane’ was released today. I noticed when I logged in today.  ‘Coltrane’ is Max Mullenwegs (the Wordpress founder) favorite saxophone player.
So I upgraded immediately (in under 1 minute using the Automatic Upgrade Plugin) and I liked what I saw.
As promised, there’s a completely new interface which I like. Comprehensive and conveniently arranged.

Wordpress Security And A Plugin To Help You

There’s a lot of attention lately for Wordpress security issues. Blogs get hacked quite often and on forums I see a lot of desperate cries for help. I know how it feels. This blog got hacked once and it’s a real pain in the butt.
Before I go into some Wordpress security issues, let me emphasize [...]

How To Tweak Your Wordpress Theme On The Fly

Sometimes you want to tweak your Wordpress theme a bit.
Adding extra or new graphics with different dimensions, changing the templates, a bit of extra search engine optimization, replacing a specific part or maybe installing a better solution for something you’re using now… whatever.

Wordpress Automatic Upgrade Plugin

Wordpress users, while in their Admin section, often see a message urging them to upgrade their Wordpress software.
I’ve seen many discussions on several forums, whether you should do that (immediately) or not. Sometimes there seems to be no reason to hurry, on other occasions there’s a security fix involved which needs to be done as [...]

If you hate cron jobs or haven’t figured out how they work, here’s some good news. David Pankhurst developed a new Wordpress plugin that really makes it easy to set cron jobs.
A cron job is a time-based scheduling service in a Unix operating systems.
If you want some program or code to start at a pre-defined [...]

Wordpress SEO

In the past, I’ve published post about search engine optimization for Wordpress blogs, containing title optimization and generating keywords and description tags.
I’ve always implemented these optimization tips myself, because they worked like charm and there was no adequate plugin available that suited my needs.
Until now.
Because I’ve implemented the All in One SEO Pack.
Easy to [...]
