Oh yes, I know at least one person who's successful outsourcing to the Philippines, but he knows the country. Others aren't as successful, but want to sell you a service there for a recurring commission. So yes, there IS a learning curve, but I'm sure with that state of mind you will succeed. Admittedly, I have not yet hired anyone, but I am determined to learn...even through my mistakes the secrets that it takes to make this work. I know this is the leverage I need to grow a business...much faster than I could ever grow one alone. Others are outsourcing to the Philippines with tremendous success...giving them the freedom that I am after. If they can learn it and implement it...then I can too ;) I am not afraid of making a few mistakes...I am sure there will be a learning curve for me...and, I'll just take the knowledge I gain from my "mistakes" and keep applying until one day I have a fine tuned working machine. ;) Thanks for the great post! Yet I like to "do stuff myself". As said Michael, you are not always happy with the work, because nobody has the same point of view. In my country (Afghanistan), we have a common saying that is "you are never best served than by yourself", and that is true in many cases. I use outsourcing on little projects, when I don't have the time to do it myself. Outsourcing has many advantages, nobody can deny that.
