I used to throw things out there to see what stuck, and once I started actually planning what it was I wanted to accomplish, I started seeing great things and, you know, actually getting the results I desired!

Interesting article. I’m just reading a book called “Ready? FIRE! Aim”, you can find it in Amazon. Really recommendable.

I must say, this post really drove the planning point home for me. By nature, I HATE to plan. But I’m becoming more and more aware of the adage that “when you fail to plan, you plan to fail”. It’s very difficult to handle the complexities of an internet business–heck, even one blog–without having some kind of plan, but I’m telling you, it’s a daily struggle for me to write out my tasks and then actually look at them again once I’ve written them down. I’ll keep this post in mind as a good inspiration for me–thanks.

I must confess that “Ready? Fire! Aim” is the strategy that I have used in the past for online marketing and is the reason I have failed so often. I am doing some planning now and achieving a little more success. Not exactly where I want to be yet, but I’m getting closer.

Doing your own thing in marketing is a smart way to go about if you have know-how on how things generally work. Building your own marketing plan and then following it religiously I mean.

YES, using some sort of standard system that has proven itself to work is an absolute must.

I will get there soon describing such a system, but, for sake of clarity, I will first explain a lot of other interesting things that are part of it.

I have found that the first plans usually become a little blurry after startup. The concept of ready fire, aim is really a very good description. Get it started and THEN plan your path to prosperity seems to work best.

Hey, I worked in automation for 30+ years also, must be in the blood to become a Blogger.

Many of my Blog posts are about how to do the mechanical things required of a Blogger, such as this post on How to Build a 125X125 banner button with proper link.
