Internet search engine marketing

Internet search engine marketing is the process of search engine optimization (SEO).

That’s where a specialist optimizes the pages of your site for higher rankings in search engines, thus making your site more noticeable to the zillion of Internet surfers who may be using keywords matching products or services that you offer.

The SEO expert makes your site more search engine friendly without destroying your valuable content or your website goals. Believe me, that’s a time consuming and very frustrating job.

Time consuming, because these specialists have to back engineer the way search engines work. A tedious task.

And frustrating because once they’ve found a solution, the search engines changes their algorithms again, so it’s back to the drawing board! And besides that, these SEO specialists have to fight Pay-Per-Click traffic too!

Still, Internet search engine marketing can pay off big time. Because if you get results, you have generated free traffic. Not only that, but if the right keywords are optimized, it’s targeted traffic that you’ll receive.

And that kind of visitors will convert well. VERY well!
In the end, THAT’S what counts. Conversion rates, not traffic.

That’s exactly why Internet search engine marketing is so important. It is the source for free traffic for well choosen keywords or keyphrases. Which is why SEO still is the buzzword in the world of Internet marketing these days.

So, how do you find these SEO specialists that’s going to work for you within your budget? That will require some research.

Just do a search in your favorite engine for SEO specialist. The guys coming up on the first result page are good, cause… well, they’re on the first page isn’t it?

If you get a reference for an SEO specialist, first thing to do is check out is how their website rankings and how many backlinks they have. That’s always a good indication of how good they are.
Remember to take no notice of the age of the site. The older, the more backlinks it should have.

The next step to select a professional SEO service is to look into its clients and their results. If there is such data available, it can provide an idea of the kind of results you can expect.
And you may have found yourself a winner if multiple keyphrases are showing that site on the front page.

On the other hand, if a client’s website is on the 20th result page for their main keyword, I advice you to stay away from that SEO specialist. However,

One thing to avoid like the plague when searching for a professional SEO specialist are experts that apply “black hat” SEO techniques. These imply ‘forbidden techniques’ like keyword spamming or forming “link farms.” Search engines actively try to detect and remove them from their rankings. Applying techniques like these eventually will destroy your website.

Internet search engine marketing may be an important part of any online business’ marketing plan.
Avoiding it is like disposing potential customers.
No matter your product or service or traffic needs, hiring a professional SEO expert can pay for itself. The extra traffic you’ll bring in thanks to solid Internet search engine marketing will be a great boost to your website.

I will agree that SEO can be hard to get your head around. I mean the phrase “Search Engine Optimization” sounds complicated in it’s self. There are many different parts to SEO as well like link build so it isn’t a easy process to learn. Getting a specialist will speed up your rankings very quickly!

    All the best

I don’t feel hiring a Seo consultant is the best way forward. Learn the basics of seo test it on smaller sites and your knowledge will grow as your sites grow! Its cheaper this way in the long run!

Like some of the other commenters here i’ve read and learned enough to perform SEO techniques myself. I really don’t feel the need to pay somebody to essentially do what I can do myself.

I will agree though that SEO is an ever changing thing and you have to keep up with the times to stay near the top of the mountain.

Getting an SEO specialist is pretty good, specially when you’re starting from nothing. Eventhough you’ll pay a great amount of money the traffic it will bring to your page would be worth the money. After this you can either try to learn SEO yourself or hire again to generate much much more traffic.

I’ve learned SEO by myself a couple years ago. The only person i hired was a professional content writter. We all know that Content is gold. I’ve been able to get good backlinks because of my content. I think that if you have the time, the best is to learn SEO and do it by yourself.

SEO is hard to predict, but not an impossible thing to learn, this site gives me many lessons, and made me feel at home to learn from the article that you created.

It’s not impossible to learn to a certain extent Randi, but if you really want to become an expert, it’s will get more and more difficult.

Actually I find that SEO is simple. Expecially if you have a blog and the SEO is done for you with plugins. It’s the off page SEO like building links, getting high PR backlinks, finding places that allow anchor text, that is a really killer. The task really try your patience and you cant outsource until you make money. And you hardly cant make money until you build enough backlinks. Almost a catch 22.

  12. Case Stevens says:

SEO can be done by anyone, even newbies.
On top of that, it’s better to start well and do some SEO from the get-go than to repair later on.

PPC mainly is for professionals. Only temporary testing campaigns can be useful to others.
You want to read stories about Google Slaps, ruining PPC campaigns? Google it.

Blogger is a Google platform. Any SEO performed on such a blog is in favor of Google, not your blogger blog.
    Same applies to other platforms.

  13. Search engine marketing is important, however you need to be clear about what you want to achieve, it is not always about rankings and traffic.

As I always say it is easier to double your conversion rate than double your traffic.
