Security is one of the most important thing to consider in an ideal ecommecre, and that what most of the customer look for before buying or making payment online. The process must not be too long so that it will not discourage buyers from continue the process and it is good to have a phone support in place, for customers to call if there is any problem why making payment online.

This might be an overkill to say maybe but I’ll say it anyway as many people take it for granted somewhat that they forget it. Perfect, or any type of ecommerce solution should be first and foremost simple and intuitive as much as possible. Simplicity should never come at the expense of security naturally, but very few people will actually complete online purchase if they need to go through complex and obscure steps to do it. I strongly believe that a good, quality product needs only appropriate presentation, one that will get the attention of potential buyer through series of natural steps that will present him with all potential benefits of purchase in logical and realistic manner and lead him to check out rather than drag him there, as you mentioned, to have considerable success. Just my 2 cents and I apologize for the length of the comment.

Being available to answer your customers queries is very important. If I send an email and don’t receive a reply, I stay well clear of the company.

I hope to end up with an ideal ecommerce system, but I think it will be a while yet.

Yes, customer support is important. You should answer every request for support immediately. And yes, phone numbers can help and are an absolute must if you market locally.

Bit harsh Barb, but get rid of that old-fashioned PIPS site loaded with Clickbank affiliate links and make your own. Use excellent PLR stuff to create products and set up a small site in 4 steps.
