10 Easy, Superior Affiliate Sites To Make Money

You're here: AIM Home » Internet Marketing » 10 Easy, Superior Affiliate Sites To Make Money

It’s quite easy to set up affiliate sites using data feeds from merchants. That is, IF you know how to handle these feeds to turn their content into an affiliate site.

One of the very best resources I use is Linda Buquet’s 5 Star Affiliate Program.
Linda is on top of this topic for years now and she provides outstanding information. Only very recently Google Affiliate Network joined her community, which is quite an accomplishment and congratulations are in place. Well done Linda! 5 Stars for you.

Affiliate Sites

You can easily create an affiliate site using Linda’s wide selection of merchant data feeds. I use a few of them for my niche sites.

There are free and paid scripts available to publish data feeds into your affiliate sites or blogs. The link above to Linda’s merchant data feeds will teach you a lot about that topic. PartnerCentric offers these scripts for free. I use them and they work wonderful.

Still, there’s a learning curve. You have to familiarize yourself with data feeds and how to display them into the right places of your affiliate sites. Most of us aren’t that technical, so we have to rely on others.

Using data feeds to create affiliate sites is quite easy, but you should avoid duplicate content penalties from search engines.
While it’s very tempting and quite easy to just publish the data feed information, it won’t help you much because of duplication.
Instead you should create some valuable content and link from there to the (group of) products included in the data feeds. Read Allan Gardyne’s article about Affiliate datafeed sites (if you’re in affiliate marketing, Allan’s site should be at the top of your bookmarks!).

A great example to learn how to use feeds and content is Easy Affiliate Sites. They provide you with 10 affiliate sites to promote Amazon products. Very easy to start for a very low price.
These affiliate sites are coded, so you can’t use the source to learn how to handle data feeds, but you CAN learn how to set these sites up and blend them into your content sites.
For only seven dollars, that’s a great way to learn this strategy.

On one of my (WordPress) blogs I use one of the PartnerCentric feeds to create an affiliate shop.
I don’t promote it though. Instead, I fill my blog with valuable content and use a (paid) plugin to link certain keywords to (parts of) the shop with relevant products.
THAT’S how you should use these affiliate sites fed by feeds (no pun intended).

Finally, don’t forget to get your visitor’s email address while applying affiliate marketing. The person who has the info always wins. In this case the affiliate who has visitor’s email addresses always wins. Because you can email them over and over about new opportunities that you have discovered or new affiliate sites that you have set up.

I believe affiliate marketing is a great way to earn a little extra which helps in getting through these tough economic times. I haven’t used data feeds for affiliate marketing yet which seems interesting, i know search engines love original content which is why I like to write about the subject in a blog. From an seo standpoint, I believe its rank effective to have enough good content for your visitors click through a few pages locally before being redirected. Have a happy new year.

  18. affiliate marketing says:

I’ve made some decent money from affiliate links, but my experience with data feed only sites is not good. You definitely need some unique content on your pages, unless it’s a very non-competitive niche.

I’ve found affiliates to be kind of a mixed bag, some are very profitable and some lacking. I have made sure that I release at least one blog post per day, giving at least 365 posts a year meaning I have fresh content that will hopefully convert to advertising income.

  21. MarbleHost.com says:

    Hello,

The Affiliates that are successful are those who are becoming ever more context-centric and offer contextual relevancy That is, what’s being offered to site visitors closely matches the content of the site itself. Place the product or service in context and more people will buy. An affiliate site would be more effective selling video games than lawn mowers on a site targeted to teenagers. It’s about presenting the right message to visitors in the right place at the right time.

Affiliate Marketing is the best thing happened to Earth as long as online marketing and promotion is concerned. However, it essentially depends on the content which should be the main focus while doing this kind of businesses. So, if care is taken, success is guaranteed.
