How to Find the Perfect Affiliate Marketing Programs
Affiliate marketing can bring in a nice monthly income without spending a lot of money or time in your business.
The main advantage of affiliate marketing is that you don’t need to create or own a product.
All you do is promote someone else’s products or services.
Of course many people know this already, but the question I get frequently is:
“How can I find the perfect affiliate marketing program?”
Let’s see how you can do that.
The first question you have to ask yourself is: “do I need the money right away or do I want to build a solid monthly income”.
If you really need the money, then there’s no better way than to browse through the RapBank affiliate products.
That’s a directory with affiliate programs that will pay you right away, directly into your PayPal account!
At RapBank, select a product that closely relates to your site and put an occasional link to these programs in your text where appropriate.
If you’re going for the long term, then you have 4 different ways to find the perfect affiliate marketing program.
-
Affiliate Directories.
Here you can find the perfect affiliate marketing program, cause these directories act like review sites. They accept applications from merchants selling products using affiliate programs. These applications are reviewed and only the best are listed. Usually about half of the total applications they receive are rejected.Or they rank all programs in order of quality.
Thus you can rest assured that the sites that are listed (or are on top of the rankings) are all sites that will make you money.
That’s a great way to select your perfect programs. -
Affiliate networks.
Another excellent way to find the perfect affiliate marketing program.
They basically are the contact between merchants and you. Affiliate networks list thousands of affiliate marketing programs that you can search for and thus find the right program easily.Sometimes there are fees included to use these sites but they often are more than worth it. Commission Junction is one of the most popular affiliate networks.
-
Individual sites.
Tons of sites that sell anything have an affiliate program that you can check out. Taking this route will take more time and you absolutely have to do your own research, running a chance to possibly make a mistake. The main advantage here however is that you usually can get a much better deal. A lot of of the less popular affiliate programs typically offer the best deals.
-
Use software
Yes, there’s software available to solve this problem.
It’s called Affiliate Elite (affiliate link!) and that’s a killer piece of software for finding top affiliate programs (as well as finding other affiliates).
Check it out.
You can use any of these ways to find great affiliate marketing programs. You can use 1 or all 4 of them. It’s totally up to you. Just do what’s best for you and make sure you find the perfect affiliate program for you.
One last word of advice!
If you are promoting affiliate marketing programs, then why not pick the ones that pay a recurring commission? It requires the same effort to endorse recurring commission programs, but they deliver income month after month.
Check out LifeTimeCommissions to see some great recurring affiliate marketing programs.
That’s a site created by one of the best affiliate marketers around, Aussie Allan Gardyne. If you have questions about affiliate marketing programs, his website AssociatePrograms is one of the best resources to go to.

Those are some great resources there! Thanks for all of the links – I think I’ll spend part of my morning looking at all the affiliate programs out there.
Another good resource is: http://Affspy.com which has many affiliate offers as well as the highest paying network for that offer.
I find it a little bit basic, but I imagine that you will have to cater to all kinds of visitors. I was actually looking for something more advanced, to complement my previous blog about affiliate site translation. But for people starting in this field I imagine it’s OK.
Yes, it IS basic info, yet I get so many questions about it that is was time to mention these methods.
Those are some good recommendations. Another source I would add to the list is OfferVault. It is a great tool for comparing offers and payouts.
As you move deeper and deeper into affiliate marketing you will find that it is VERY dependent on networking and relationships. Start networking through the forums, tradeshows, etc. Many times your affiliate friends will be your best resources for knowledge and BKM’s (best known methods)
Equally important is to keep track of all of this with a good CRM (customer relationship management) tool. If you have successes or make mistakes, it is nice to have history to look at.
In my opinion, the best way are affiliate networks because you can be in touch with affiliate managers and get the offers who converts better. Then build a campaign for the offer you choose, and believe me, money will come
There’s definitely a lot of different affiliate programs to choose from, and once you’re approved, the sky’s the limit, really.
Another thing to think about, especially if you have an existing site, is not so much what your niche is and what products you’ll be offering, but what your demographic is.
I ran a entertainment based site and posted electronics offers due to the demographic – it worked out very well! =)

Another way to have success in affiliate marketing is to build your subscribers list. If you built credibility and reputation to your subscribers, regardless of the list size, you can make money. Make sure to only recommend quality products, and something that you know or tried of.
I am new to Affiliate marketing and I really enjoyed reading this post as it is informative. Building a email marketing list is really important in affiliate marketing. But to succeed in affiliate marketing choosing the right product is must. If we try to sell a good product with right techniques then we can surely win.
Good info here on affiliate marketing. I am currently using Google AdSense on my site just because I want to spend the majority of my time writing for my site and working on SEO rather than selling ad space. But the CPMs I’m getting with Google AdSense aren’t great and affiliate marketing seems like a good idea to explore.
Thanks for the read!

Affiliate Marketing really is the easiest and the cheapest way to make money online. I know you are a huge fan of list building. So if You build one affliate site a week each month and include your aweber. 10 bux for the hosting, lets just say 10 for each domain plus the 19 for aweber(optional) so for less than 70 bux a month you can have you own viable business.. INCREDIBLE..
—I love Amazon- I create half adsense and half amazon sites in super micro niches.. pays the bills..
good post
There are a lot of great affiliate marketing products out there and affiliate marketing services. Commission Junction as you said is one of the most popular affiliate networks out there and I agree with that. I have tried Clickbank before and they seem to have a great deal of products also. In order to be successful in Affiliate Marketing you have to research on the niche that you are interested in. You also have to consider the content of your marketing and the traffic.
Affiliate marketing is a great opportunity to work for yourself and establish an income , be it part time or full time. You also have the choice of starting your affiliate marketing business in your spare time when it is convenient for you, which will still allow you to make extra money online.
I’m on the road to starting with affiliate marketing and those techniques proved to be very useful. I didn’t knew that such affiliate directories existed. Checked out some and there are definitely some good choices. Affiliate Elite also seems like a nice software to help with the task of finding a good affiliate program. Will probably give it a shot later on.
Quite nice read! There are many other more factors that needs to be considered while choosing an affiliate marketer. Like choosing the product which is really beneficial for others.
Never get of with some new product launching company as they may be offering huge percentage of sales.
Often people is misguided with the commission part and many times they get scammed away.
Anyhow, nice blog and bookmarked it in my delicious account..
I have tried the rap bank and found one or two good products that fits my niche. The product there are different from what click bank has and so it provides me with variety of products to promote.
This is an outstanding resource! Thank you so much for sharing. I couldn’t agree more! There are some aspects that we, bloggers should be aware of.
First, we must understand the Affiliate Marketing requirements before we proceed in joining. Bloggers should read carefully the affiliate marketing agreements, terms and policies. This is important because there are companies that place restrictions on the usage of the link of their website. And failure to follow their guidelines would lose its privileges on the program and worst than that you will no longer receive your compensation.
Second, we must choose the right Affiliate Marketing Program. In choosing the right Affiliate Marketing Program for your blog, we must take in consideration what our visitors would probably be interested with and provide them benefits as well. In this case, your visitors may more likely click on the Affiliate Marketing links or banners and therefore ensuring you that you visitors are not bothered with your Affiliate links and/or banners.
Third, after having the appropriate Affiliate Program, we have to maximize our earnings that are generated by the Affiliate Program. To maximize our profit, we have to make an effort specifically in promoting our blog for a maximum traffic. The more traffic we drive to our blog, the more chances of increasing our Affiliate income. And a regular assessment is needed for us to know the impact of our promotions. We should also consider making changes to our chosen Affiliate Program if we found it out that we have good traffic but there is a little percentage of visitors who click on the affiliate links. Changes maybe on the size of the banner or link, or maybe its location. And again make another assessment of the new changes.
Best,
Charles
Liked this article… just the facts, and good advice. I would say it’s best to vary the type of programs you promote as widely as makes sense to you, perhaps including CPA. Vary the payment methods also, that way you’ll have a nice balance, the internet is an ever changing place, it don’t pay to have all your eggs in one basket… Good luck all…
Since I’m planning to get into affiliate programs I find this article useful enough for me to make little mistakes along the way. Thanks!
