Great article for me to think of myself, very sound advice no matter what size your business is. Time Management is very important one for anybody. If you have more focus on your time management other things are easily manageable.

Great article, very sound advice no matter what size your business is. I would like to add just one thing, if you are just starting out, follow all of the above advice and do some thing towards building your business everyday, any progress is good, just manage your time and stay focused and it will come together.

Then when you get there, buy yourself time and outsource! Outsource everything you can, focus you time on the important stuff.

Another great post. Though I fall short on #10 – take time for yourself. It’s a tough balance between growing a business and family. I know family is far more important, but if your business is the income source it certainly demands attention.
I guess we often (should say I often) get caught in the moment, and push this down to a lower priority – dumb. Trust me, I’ve seen a lot of the brevity of life in the past year, but when it comes to putting work first, I am often the biggest offender. I admire those who are in a position to maintain life “balance”.

I was nodding my head through this whole post. It’s funny how the simple things are the most important and sometimes the hardest to implement.

Like it’s been proven that just writing down your goals make you more likely to achieve them. How simple is that, yet how many of us actually do it?

I don’t know if the list is in order of importance or not but I think time for yourself should be higher. Time for yourself seems to always become an afterthought and it really is important to take care of yourself to avoid burnout.

I always think planning is better for every Goal. I plan and schedule my work and then I try to follow those. Marketing without a plan is like working out in Gym without training program and diet chart. Ultimate result is nothing but frustration.

Goal Setting is really important. I have heard many self-help gurus recount the study from Harvard Law School where a graduating class were asked if they had written goals for their lives. At the class reunion 25 years later the surviving class members were questioned again and it was found that the 3% of the class that had written goals were worth more than the other 97% combined!

A comment on ‘Never Stop Learning’, there’s an old saying “Successful People have big libraries, Unsuccessful People have Big TVs!”

I think that all of these steps are great. Number 9 is one of the most important steps! Education is key especially when it comes to the Internet.
