How many did you receive already?

Those telemarketer calls.

How many, huh?

And what is your response to these calls?

Do you listen and answer the questions. Or are you more like me and get annoyed, angry or even furious?

Because they always call on the wrong moment talking about the wrong subject. Makes me p.o. sometimes. In such cases I advise them to find a decent job instead of harassing hard working people. :-)

But there IS another way.

A creative one.

Want to hear it? Want to wet your pants?

Then listen to this telemarketer prank.
It’s hilarious!

Telemarketers get interesting responses, but this one takes the cake!

It’s hilarious.

I lasted two weeks as a ‘data collector” (telemarketer) before I spat the dummy and left.

I worked for a mortgage brokerage firm. I had to ring people up and obtain personal information such as the outstanding balance of their mortgage, which bank they were with, their salary, adress and marital status. The calls were generally made around dinner time.

Not surprisingly, many people did not respond in an overwhelmingly positive manner.

These days, I live in Korea and I have a great response to telemarketers. I say

“Han guk mal charl moht hum ne dah. Yong ore ha sey yo?” (I don’t speak Korean well. Do you speak English?)

Needless to say, this works every time. They suddenly become very keen to get off the phone!
