How To Write Without Errors – Article Writing Tips 6
After finishing your article, run it through your spell checking software. Then proof read it at least twice!
Unfortunately your spell checker is not perfect and can lead to unforeseen errors.
For instance, the words “weather” and “whether” are both legitimate words. But if you wrote an article that said, “Weather you like this or not, ….” your spell checking software wouldn’t detect any errors. Don’t laugh, it happens!
Spell checking software is convenient up to a certain level, but that’s as far as it gets.
That is why it is very important to read through your article at least twice after you spell check it.
Then set it aside for a couple of days, so that you can look into it again when you’re in a different state of mind. Thus you can regard it as if you were the reader and this can help you to improve its potential.
Another great idea is to ask for a second opinion by having your family or friends read through the article to see if they understand it and to closely watch that your articles leads to the action that you want it to do.
Maybe they will come up with great suggestions, as the author, being in the middle of the woods, sometimes can’t see the trees.
On the Net you can also find services that will perform proof reading for you. You will find several if you Google for “article proofreading service”.
Ok, that’s it for now.
Keep in touch, I will publish another great tip for you soon!
