About Case Stevens

Case StevensHi, I’m Case Stevens.
You can contact me using the link at the right of the top menu.

I made a great career in the IT industry working for a software house. At that time, a software house in The Netherlands had a unique position, because job hopping didn’t exist and for the big companies, outsourcing was a great way to save money. For the software houses, it was a great way to make money.

After developing applications on mainframe computers as a programmer, systems analyst, developer and project manager I ended up in the board of directors.

I had a great time and learned a lot. Not only the tech stuff, but also many diverse applications as I was always sent out to help customers develop their systems.

The boring part was working for banks, insurance companies and different levels of government departments, the fun stuff was working for the Dutch Deltawerken, a unique project to keep the see out of The Netherlands, and educating others to learn from my experiences.

But after so many years, I wanted something completely different.

So resigned and went into real estate. I had my own (small) real estate company which I still run today.

I also did international trade.
That’s how I got involved in the Internet. I was advising a pottery import-export company and, just for fun, I created a website using a free host. It was b2b selling 20 ft. containers loaded with pottery and garden items. To my own surprise, within a year I generated a list of over 6,000 customers. I was only testing.
I did something similar with shoes, exporting from Spain to destinations all over the world, although the UK appeared to be the main market.

Since I was successful, I decided to concentrate on my own websites.
That’s what I mainly do today.

So here I am.
House in Spain
You may think this is just a boring story and you know what?

You’re right!

Everything I did in my life was carefully planned and calculated.

From my first car and my first house, to my latest business ventures, the house in Spain and even my participation in a venture fund.

Everything I did was deliberate, reliable, solid, thorough, substantial. I never maxed out my credit cards, I never lost everything I’ve got, I never ended up poor or landed in the gutter.

It may indeed sound boring, but it’s also very reassuring! That’s me.

Hello Case. Reading your bio reminded me of . . . well, me. I too have never lost everything, calculated each step, and have almost maxed out a few credit cards.

I also invest in real estate here in Las Vegas, NV and I have a whole real estate section on my website, maybe check it out and let me know what you think. However, my main focus now days is also like you, my website. I’ve started a new hosting company which I hope some will find useful and quite different from the usual web hosting companies. If you have time, I’d love to hear any thoughts you might have on my site since like I said, it’s all new.

Anyway, found your site by way of Copyblogger and thought I’d check your site out. Very nice.

Take care,
John
